Talks

Many of the photographers of GHG Photos are available for artist talks, slideshows, and to sit on panel discussions. Talks generally include photo slideshows, some scientific background and of course stories from the field. Below are descriptions of some of our more popular talks.

Gary Braasch
Gary Braasch is available for a photographic slideshow based on his book Earth Under Fire. The project chronicles the effects of climate change across the globe. Gary will speak about his travels to all seven continents in the course of this project and what he has witnessed.

Benjamin Drummond and Sara Joy Steele
Benjamin and Sara are available for presentations of their work on their project titled Facing Climate Change. Hour long presentations usually include audio from the field and other forms of multimedia.

Ashley Cooper
Ashley is available for presentations on his travels over the last eight years documenting the visible effects of climate change.

Peter Essick
Peter’s slideshow is based on his work for National Geographic on climate change. It illustrates the physical, ecological, past and future changes related to climate change.

Joshua Wolfe
Co-author of “Climate Change: Picturing the Science” a collaboration between scientists from the Earth Institute at Columbia University and photographers, Joshua focuses his slideshows on communicating the science of climate change through visual imagery.

Steve Kazlowski
Based on his book, The Last Polar Bear his talk pairs his beautiful images with anecdotes about his arctic adventures. His talk reflects a knowledge and detail of polar bears and the challenges they faces, plus a few good adventure stories.
